The performer should be taught never to try new stuntsuntil he has completed the preliminary work and has beenpassed by the instructor.

The attention of the performer should always be kept awayfrom the dangers of an exercise. He should be allowed tothink only of the fundamentals for proper execution. Fearcauses tension and distracts from the ability to concentrateon fundamentals.

The springboard is dangerous and its use should be permitted only under the closest supervision of an experiencedinstructor.

II. General principles relating to the instructor.

Analyze each exercise for danger elements before trying toteach it.
