bring yourself back when you do go slightly off balance. When on your hands, balance exactly as you do on your feet. If falling over forward too far, press with the fingers as you would with the toes. When falling off balance backward, let your weight drop to the heels of your hands, just the same as you would rock back on the heels of your feet.

SQUAT HAND BALANCE

Figure 22 illustrates the proper way to place hands on mat. Note that fingers are arched, but palm is flat.
